Who am I?
Who am I I'm an even keeled person, humble and stoic in a emotional stand point. I guess it's because I grew up around people who were the total opposite. An also always second guessing every decision and aspect of life. What are the biggest influences in my life. Some of the people I hang out with and studying different subjects. My goals in life is to become self dependent have a fortune and lead a good life from a humanitarian stand point.
I can relate to some of the sociological imagination topics that were talked about in class. Like the video about texting and needing to hear from someone. It's hard for me to leave my phone for a period of time without checking or not responding back to a text. An event that has made me look different at the world was all the new technology I've seen from my time as young child until now. I'm part of a generation that has seen major change as far as world dynamics. Technology such as my iPad and Mac book is something I'm on everyday but just eight years ago there weren't even around. I don't really see my personal history being an biography just yet I'm still a younger man who has yet to see a lot.
Good evening Darnell,
I enjoyed reading your blog because I was able to relate to it. I liked how you said that you hang out with people who study different subjects and that they are your influences. I think that it will also help you to gain information from that one person who knows the answer when you don't. I actually remember the time that I wanted to own my own business, but now I am majoring in becoming an ECE because my friend has changed my whole mentality about children. Who knows? maybe your friends will help you major in something that you really like.
I definitely remembered watching Shirley Turkle's Ted video about us being addicted to cell phones. Shirley made some major points. It's hard for us to not be on our phones for a long period of time, especially in the generation that we live in. Technology has changed our lives dramatically, some people don't realize it until this day. They just go with the flow on what invention will come next.
I am looking forward to read more of your blogs. You have showed me that I am not the only one who thinks and does what you do. I will be glad to learn some more of your thoughts.
Hi good afternoon, your blog is very nice and I like to know how you did it. It is very interesting what you said about phone. I’m not like that but my 14 years sister act the same as you do. It is true also that technology changes our live and is affecting us. My sister is on Facebook 24/7 and most of the time she and her friends do stuff that can follow them when they get older. As we can see we must be very careful of what we are doing, posting and writing since a lot of companies check on that website before hiring. Recently I was doing public service and they warn us about social network because they can it.
